Course Description

This is a semester-long course and will be offered in both semester 1 and 2.

Explore fast foods of the past and the future. You will investigate the impacts fast food outlets have had New Zealand’s population. You will be encouraged to consider the health, social, environmental and economic impacts of the growing number of fast food outlets. In groups you will cooperatively create your own takeaway food product that considers health, environmental and economic factors. 

The big question: Are we dependent on Fast Foods? How have societal issues driven the popularity of Fast foods?
