Careers Advisor is Ms Sue Hanlon - [email protected] The college staff are able to provide information on a variety of careers and tertiary programmes in particular our Careers Advisor, Ms Sue Hanlon. Students are strongly advised to carefully consider subject choices and possible implications, and should consult with the Careers Advisor before making their final decisions. GATEWAY PROGRAMME

The Gateway Coordinator is Mrs Hilary Lawrence - [email protected] The Gateway Teacher is Ms Sue Hanlon - [email protected] Gateway is a workplace learning programme for students in Years 12 and 13 who are interested in a career pathway in a particular industry or field of work. Students go out into the workplace one day per week for up to 10 weeks. Gateway gives students the opportunity to do workplace learning (during school time or other suitable times to fit the students programme), which directly relates to their school-based programme and proposed career. Students on Gateway are also required to complete a Workplace Safety Course and a First Aid Course.

Entry Requirements:
  • Students apply to enter Gateway, and be interviewed by the Gateway Coordinator and the Careers Advisor to assess their suitability for the programme.Students must demonstrate a desire to pursue a career pathway in a chosen industry or field of work.
  • Students must have the level of maturity, standard of behaviour, attitude and work ethic necessary to succeed at work-based learning and be able to communicate with adults
  • Students must have excellent school attendance.
