Level 3 Investigative Science

PURPOSE: This course is for students who enjoyed studying Science at Year 12 and would like to continue to study Science in Year 13.

COURSE OUTLINE: This is a fully internally assessed course. This course is eligible for UE Science.

In this course there are four internals. Two are Earth and Space assessments. One is a research report looking at Climate change and the environment, the other is a practical investigation looking at sedimentation pollution in the Hutt River/ Te Awa Kairangi. The other two assessments are Biology standards, one is a practical investigation and the other involves learning about the way the human body maintains a constant internal environment (regulating temperature, blood glucose etc).

UE COURSE. Note - There is a two standard double up with SCI303. Students can take both SCI303 and BIO303 however this will only translate to one UE course.
