Ready to unleash your inner musician? Get ready to dive into the world of music with Jam In A Band! This course is all about getting you pumped up and confident on your instrument while jamming with your crew.

You and your bandmates will explore various music genres, from rock to pop to reggae and more, all while honing your skills on your instrument. Along the way, you'll also learn the basics of reading music, giving you the keys to unlock even more musical opportunities.

Thinking about taking Music at NCEA Level One? Jam In A Band is the perfect stepping stone. And hey, don't forget – you'll also get to rock out with our instrumental/vocal tutors, and it won't cost you a thing!

Pathway

Level 1 Music

This can be linked to NCEA Level One Music. It is recommended that two different junior Music courses are taken over year 9 and 10 in preparation for NCEA Level One Music. Alternatively, students can take the full year Music Academy course.
