Throughout the year you will have an overarching theme of Tūrangawaewae. Tūrangawaewae - exploring connections to place and belonging through drama. “Tūrangawaewae are places where we feel especially empowered and connected. They are our foundation, our place in the world, our home.” You will be exploring your identity through storytelling. In Drama we work as an ensemble (group) with one common goal, to create. We will explore traditional New Zealand theatre, and how our way of storytelling is integral to New Zealand identity. This course is designed to build on the knowledge from Year 10 and prepare students to continue with Drama throughout NCEA.
