Course Description Recommended Prior Learning

Satisfactory achievement in Level 2 English, History or another Social Science subject. This course involves a lot of reading and writing, so strengths in these areas are essential.



PURPOSE: Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome provide us with so much. We will explore their societies and learn about the influence they have had on our: stories, buildings, sports, politics, movies and daily life. We will focus on Greek mythology and Roman Art and Architecture.

COURSE OUTLINE: We look at Alexander the Great and his impact on the Greek World. We will then study Roman Art and Architecture that still survives today and explore why they were made.
