ANCIV202 Course Description Recommended Prior LearningSatisfactory achievement in Level 1 English, History or another relevant subject. This course involves a lot of reading and writing so strengths in these areas are essential.
PURPOSE: Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome provide us with so much. We will explore their societies and learn about the influence they have had on our: stories, buildings, sports, politics, movies and daily life. From the Olympics to Gladiators, Hercules and Venus we’ll explore all the things we have today because of these two civilisations.
COURSE OUTLINE: We will start with a look at the buried city of Pompeii and what we learn from this area. We will then study the Odyssey.
