Off the Wall (1)

This is a semester long course and will be offered in semester 1. 

Big Question: What is art? How do we connect with nature through art? 

This course explores “My place” and our connection to the land and nature. Students will explore ways to express their creativity through 3-D construction, painting, or printmaking.

Students’ will develop practical art skills, problem-solving skills, lateral thinking, self-motivation and creative thinking. Students will investigate art from a range of cultural origins and develop ideas in order to produce personal and original artworks. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity and develop a strong work ethic as well as develop an awareness or their own and others cultural and values.

Students may study Art for one semester or two semesters. We recommend a full year course for those interested in the Senior Art Pathway.
