Course Description
Course Outline:
We live in a world where sustainable practices in the Fashion industry are becoming more important. Discover how you can use a combination of planning, research and design to create garments that are both inspiring and reflect your culture. If you are a Fashionista who has always wanted to combine your creativity with making your own outfits using a combination of mediums from fibre art, applique, dyeing, weaving and printing, this is the course for you. This course expands on basic skills learned in Year 10 and could inspire you to further your studies in textile design.
This is an Assessment Standard course with both written and practical components.
Recommended Prior Learning
Successful in any year 10 Technology or prior sewing experience is and added advantage. Students who have not completed a Year 10 Technology may be eligible to join at the discretion of the HOD or teacher in charge.
