CHEM303

Level 3 Internal Chemistry

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr S. Saha.

PURPOSE: This course is for students who enjoyed Chemistry in Year 12 and would like to continue with Chemistry related studies in Year 13 and beyond.

COURSE OUTLINE: Three standards are internally assessed achievement standards, one external which draws on knowledge learnt during the 3.1 internal.

This course is for students who are interested to learn about the subject from an experimental and data-based approach. This course will benefit students who are planning for a career in the industries. CHEM 303 can be taken as a standalone course, or by students who are interested in adding on to their knowledge in CHEM 333.  Students who are interested in studying Chemistry at University, are strongly encouraged to take both CHEM303 and CHEM333. This course provides students with the opportunity to access 13 to 17 credits. The number of credits available (13 or 17) will depend on if students choose to complete the optional extra internal assessment (ESS3.2 - Ocean Acidification) or not.

UE course (if the optional extra internal assessment is completed)
