Beyond the Selfie (1)

This is a semester long course and will be offered in semester 1. 

The big question: Who am I? What makes me who I am – inside and outside?

This course explores identity and develops skills in portraiture, the elements of art with a focus on painting.

Students’ will develop practical art skills, problem-solving skills, lateral thinking, self-motivation and creative thinking. Students will investigate art from a range of cultural origins and develop ideas in order to produce personal and original artworks. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity and develop a strong work ethic as well as develop an awareness or their own and others cultural and values.

Students may study Art for one semester or two semesters. We recommend a full year course for those interested in the Senior Art Pathway.
