The Life Aquatic (1)

Course Description

The big question: Why should we care about what’s happening in our oceans?

Love the ocean, rivers, and aquatic life? In this course, you will explore the planet's oceanic and marine ecosystems. With 71% of the earth’s surface covered by water, aquatic life is critical to our existence. It’s one of the most valuable sources of food, medicine, and raw materials. New discoveries are made daily in marine biology and ecology, making this an exciting and dynamic subject. As an aquatic scientist, in this course, you will investigate how plastic is impacting our wildlife, the cause and impacts of ocean acidification, as well as how ocean circulation affects our climate and weather patterns.
