Big question:  What controls us?

The best texts make us care about what happens to the characters.  We feel strongly when unfair things happen to them and they find themselves in situations they did not expect.  We often feel what they feel and are moved when they have to fight for their freedom and rights. In this course we will learn about characters who have had to be brave and fight against something more powerful than themselves.
